On June 10th, 2022, the Anguilla Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACOCI) successfully held its first speed networking lunch at Roy’s Bayside Grill in Sandy Ground. The event was open to both ACOCI members and non-members.
The goals of the event were to:
1) Encourage businesses to network with each other.
2) Give businesses the opportunity to share brief presentations about their operations.
3) Provide an opportunity for business-to-business marketing and commerce.
The event began with a prayer and welcome by Karen Pina, ACOCI’s Clerical Officer. Six (6) businesses were then randomly selected to make 3-minutes presentations to the audience about their businesses. The six businesses chosen were Sol Petroleum, True Anguilla, Tranquility Beach, Nagico Insurances, Vegan Bites and Alliance Insurance. The presentations were all well-structured and informative. The prize for the best business presentation was awarded to Deanna Cabrera of Tranquility Beach.
Subsequently, the remaining businesses present were allotted one minute to share pertinent information about their businesses. Andy Brown from Hi-Tek Signs and Designs was given best presentation in this category. Attendees also had the chance to win prizes during the event. The event provided an excellent opportunity for all businesses present and attendees shared that they learned valuable information and made strategic connections with other businesses.
A scrumptious lunch prepared by Roy’s Bayside Grill was provided to all attendees.
