Obtaining a Business License

Persons operating a business are required to apply to the Ministry of Finance for a Business Licence.  Once the application is approved, the required fee is sent to the Inland Revenue Department (IRD) for payment.  Upon receipt of the payment the IRD issues a business certificate which the business owner is required to display in the place of business.

  • Application fees vary according to the nature of the business and are affected by factors such as stock value.
  • All licences are valid until December 31st of the year received and must be renewed annually at the Inland Revenue Department.
